Over 280,000 people in the UK are either homeless or living in inadequate accommodation. Despite London being one of the richest cities in the world, there are thousands that experience food poverty on a daily basis, ranging from homeless people to low-income families. With such startling figures, Sunnah Trust initiated their first outreach project to aid the most vulnerable of our community, with a vision to make a change. We provide free hot meals, warm clothes and advocacy support to those struggling with homelessness based in Tower Hamlets. We can also signpost people to services offered by the local authority and other great voluntary groups and organisations in the area. In the near future, we hope to extend our services to other London boroughs.
